Why do some photographers consistently come up with outstanding images? Is it luck? Maybe a little bit. Lets look beyond that. Is the lighting good or dramatic? Does the location work to make the image more dynamic and provide depth? Is the composition strong and make it difficult for you to look away?
If you would like to understand why this all comes together, image after image, then you might want to consider attending this workshop so I can share with you how I find dramatic scenes, why my images have dimensional lighting and what lens decision you will make in order to create images with a strong foreground subject and complimentary backgrounds.
Many photographers think that they can just keep on shooting photographs and they will get better at it. It’s very hard to teach yourself something that you do not know.
That’s where I come in. What you just read is what I will be teaching you at my Digital B&W Infrared workshop. Come study with me and go home with new vision!
Are you a fan of infrared imagery?? Imagine coming to play in a very picturesque area of rolling hills, trees and farms to use as your playground! Do you wish that there was a way to learn the nuances of quality infrared capture? Have you dreamed that there was a way to get experience to help you determine if you would like to invest in an infrared converted camera.
I will make this a reality. Many of my images have been captured in this target rich environment. In order to capture very strong images, I will share with you my methodology for being in the right place at the right time with the correct camera and lens.
Whether you are a seasoned pro or just beginning your IR photographic journey, you will grow and go away with remarkable imagery! Summertime in this picturesque countryside will be the landscape for our capturing afternoons of black and white IR imagery.
If you do not have an IR converted camera, we can arrange a rental from the leader in Infrared conversions, KolariVision for you to use during the workshop. There will be lessons in how to think with IR eyes as well as camera techniques. You will be armed with the knowledge by an expert in the world of IR for the past 30 years to help with your time invested.
Each morning we will view and provide a critique of your images in order to potentially improve your skills each day before you go out to shoot with your improving vision!
