Photographing the Pennsylvania Amish Workshop

Have you always wanted to photograph the Pennsylvania Amish? It’s seems easy, but it requires thorough knowledge of the area, the customs of the Amish, lighting, timing and strong story-telling backgrounds in order to be successful at capturing strong images. A workshop with Ken Sklute will make this a reality.
Ken has been capturing dramatic images in the Amish Country since 1977. Some of his most striking and beautiful images have been captured in the target rich environment of southeastern Pennsylvania. Ken will share with you his methodology for selecting a subject and being in the right place at the right time with the correct camera and lens to capture unique images and then how to process them to make Wall Ready art.
Whether you are a seasoned pro or just beginning your photographic journey, you will grow and go away with remarkable imagery from this workshop.

Each day we’ll start by photographing in the beautiful morning light. After breakfast we will be working on your recent captures and then critiquing your images in order to help you “see” how to create even better images. Our afternoons will be spent in the field, literally, composing and capturing images of the beautiful Lancaster county countryside.
The cost to attend this 4 day workshop in the magnificently rolling hills of southeastern Pennsylvania is $1,595.00 per person USD.
What is included:
Instruction each day as well as daily image critiques and post-processing lessons.
What is not included:
Airfare to Pennsylvania, hotel accommodations, camera rentals, alcohol, and meals .
